Down for Change exists to raise awareness of positive climate action being taken in local communities, starting with a focus on Central Virginia. We believe informed awareness leads to climate swerve: a recognition of the climate problem and a desire to be part of the solution.

The site is designed as an E-zine, our first issue features student articles highlighting local drawdown efforts that can contribute to lower concentrations of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. Drawdown solutions lower equivalent carbon emissions or enhance carbon sequestration in the environment.  

Our goal is to motivate climate swerve. Please join us in recognizing these efforts by various local organizations and learn more about Project Drawdown, our inspiration; let's all get down for change!
